Relaxed

Hello my friends and family!
Well here I am back, relaxed and happy after my summer holidays. I am very European now!
Our first stop was Montpellier, in the south of France. Mama, Dada, Zia and me all took the plane there together.

I spent most of my time in France hanging out with my zia. She played with me while Mama and Dada learned French. We had the best time, even though the weather was terrible for a while there. Zia taught me how to dance and sing songs along with MTV!

Of course the food in France was delicious. Here is me tucking into a chocolate cakey thing with custard. Notice Mama's face. Those of you who know her well know she isn't so generous when it comes to sharing her food. Now you know it's even with her own daughter!

After Montpellier, Mama, Zia and I took the train to Spain. To Barcelona. It was a treat for Zia's birthday. And Zio met us there too. We stayed in an apartment right in the middle of all the action.

Of course we saw all the famous sites. We took the double decker tourist bus which was pretty cool (or "priticool", as I like to say). I liked the Sagrada Familia because there was a good playground just outside.
We were very lucky because there was a big festival on while we were in Barcelona so we got to see fireworks competitions and traditional dancing and concerts and human pyramids. Everywhere we looked there was something exciting going on.

La Rambla

We caught up with some friends of ours from Australia, Rob and Nicky. They were heaps of fun and I played with them a lot. Except I did like to say "Rob smells disgusting".
Rob is a big West Coast Eagles fan so he was very keen to watch the AFL grand final somewhere. Of course me and Mama are Swannies fans so we wanted to see the game too. After lots of hard work, Rob and Nicky convinced the Irish Cultural Association to open at 6:30 in the morning for us to watch the game.
When we got there, there were a few too many loud and drunk Aussies for my liking so Mama and I spent the game outside playing in the street. But Mama just kept saying "Go Swannies, go Swannies" instead of listening to me. Anyway, we were very happy when Swannies won and, with some dedicated coaching, I came home to tell my Dada "Swannies are champions!"
But this photo is not about Swannies. It's about all of us walking down La Rambla, the happening street of Barcelona.

Overall we had a great trip. As me and Mama like to say when something goes really well: "Good one!"
