Granddad and Granny Bob are in town!

Some exciting news for me - my Granddad and Granny Bob are in Switzerland! At the moment they are doing a tour of the country, and we met them last weekend in my favourite Swiss town, Lugano. It was very nice to see them because it has been a really long time since I saw them last. I can do so much more now than when I was 2 and I spent a lot of the time showing them exactly what I can do. Luckily for me, they were quite happy to give me LOTS of attention.

Here is a funny version of the same photo, with me and Granddad doing googly eyes at each other.

My Dada took this photo of me when I was jumping around dancing, waiting for the ferry.

Fun at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Last week we went to visit Uncle Anthony in Edinburgh. It was a perfect time to go, well, not for the weather, but because the Edinburgh Fringe Festival was on. There were so many exciting things to see. I saw lots of kids' shows, one with Elmer the Elephant, and another one about Aesop's Fables. There was a scary one called Monster Hits and another one about a giraffe who cleaned windows. Here you can see me jazzing out while I wait for one of the shows to start.

It was pretty busy in Edinburgh so one day we got out of town and took the train to the beach. Mama and I were so happy because we hadn't seen the beach for ages. Uncle Anthony and I collected lots of shells.

I thought you might like this photo. On our last night in Edinburgh, Mama and Dada went to see a show by themselves and I stayed home with Uncle Anthony. I had the best time, doing lots of crafts and then Uncle Anthony let me watch lots and lots of TV. I didn't want to go to sleep, but when Mama and Dada got home I accidentally fell asleep on this table.

I wanted to show you this one too. An arty shot I took while we were waiting for the plane. I call it "Family Feet".

A summery day

We're not really sure if has been summer at all this year - there haven't been very many hot days. But a couple of weekends ago there was one and Mama and Dada and me went to Freiburg. We found a cool bar that had sand and hammocks and comfy chairs so we ordered some drinks and just hung out.

Back to Bonn...and Koblenz!

I had the best long weekend this weekend. While my Dada was away listening to metal music, Mama and I decided to take a last minute trip to visit our friends from Bonn. Emilia, who used to live in Bonn, has moved to Koblenz, about 45 minutes from Bonn, so that's where we went first. Here I am with Emilia at the Deutsche Eck, the spot where the Rhine river meets the Moselle river.

Emilia and I had so much fun together, seeing the sights of Koblenz and playing lots at her home too. Emilia was very nice to me and kept giving me presents. I didn't mind that at all!

We had to say goodbye to Emilia on Saturday morning but then we were off to Bonn to meet Carolyn. I was so happy to see her again, as you can see in this picture. I think she liked seeing me too!

Soon enough it was like I had never left and we were walking along the Rhine hand in hand.

Carolyn and I played and played and played. We only stopped for food and eventually sleep but as soon as we could we started playing again. It was so good to be with my German friends and I was very, very sad to leave. In fact I cried and cried when Mama and I got on the train back to Basel. And then I cried again when I got home and realised how much I missed my friends. I hope I see them again very soon.
